30 Days in the 5AM Club
30 days · Productivity
Up at 5am every day for a month - own the hour nobody wants.
Wake at 5am for 30 straight days and spend the first hour on yourself: exercise, planning, reading, deep work - anything except your inbox. Brutal for a week, transformative after. The calendar's miss-marks keep you honest about weekends.
The rules
- Feet on the floor by 5:00am (or your chosen early hour), 7 days a week.
- No snooze. Alarm across the room.
- The first hour is yours: no email, no social media, no news.
Tips from people who finished
- This is really a bedtime challenge in disguise - lights out by 9:30pm makes it possible.
- Prepare the morning the night before: clothes out, coffee ready, plan written.
- Expect days 3-7 to be the trough. Everyone quits there; don't be everyone.
Track it properly
The difference between "trying" this challenge and finishing it is usually a visible calendar. Create yours and you get:
- A 30-day calendar you tick off daily - with streaks and completion stats computed live.
- Achievement badges (day 1, 7-day streak, halfway, finisher…).
- A share link so a friend can watch and keep you honest - see the accountability playbook.
- A printable version for the fridge.
