Code for at least an hour every day for 100 days.
The internet's favourite skill-building challenge: an hour of coding a day, every day, for 100 days - on projects, not just tutorials. People start it as beginners and finish it employable. The public streak is the engine; share your calendar and let it hold you accountable.
The rules
- Code a minimum of 1 hour every day.
- Tutorials count for at most half your time - build things.
- Post or log what you worked on each day (the day note is perfect for this).
Tips from people who finished
- Pick the project *before* day 1. "What should I build?" eats whole evenings.
- End each session mid-task - tomorrow-you starts with momentum instead of a blank file.
- Two 30-minute blocks count. Protect the streak on busy days.
Track it properly
The difference between "trying" this challenge and finishing it is usually a visible calendar. Create yours and you get:
- A 100-day calendar you tick off daily - with streaks and completion stats computed live.
- Achievement badges (day 1, 7-day streak, halfway, finisher…).
- A share link so a friend can watch and keep you honest - see the accountability playbook.
- A printable version for the fridge.
